Translations for next class:
  1. बाह्य external अनालम्बनं non-support वृत्तेः of the thought form एषा this (is) उपरतिः uparati, उत्तमा the best. (The existence of the thought form without any external support is known as the best uparati.)
  2. सहनं forbearance सर्वदुःखानाम् of all the miseries अप्रतीकारपूर्वकम् without the attitude of retaliation, चिन्ताविलापरहितं without worry and mourning सा that is निगद्यते defined (as) िततिक्षा titikṣā. (The forbearance of all the miseries without worry and mourning, without the attitude of retaliation is defined as titikṣā.)
  3. शास्त्रस्य of the śāstra,  गुरुवाक्यस्य of the words of the guru,  सत्यबुद्धयवधारणम्  a conviction that it is true सा that is कथिता told (as) श्रद्धा śraddhā सद्भिः by wise people, यया by which वस्तु the object (goal), उपलभ्यते is gained. (The conviction that the words of the Shastra and of the teacher are true is is said to be śraddhā by the wise people by which the truth is known.)
  4. सर्वदा always स्थापनं placing बुद्धेः of the intellect शुद्धे in pure ब्रह्मणि Brahman, सर्वथा in all conditions (in every manner), तत् that is इति उक्तं told (as) समाधानम् samādhāna, न not तु on the other hand लालनम् pampering चित्तस्य of the mind. (The placing of the mind always in every manner in pure Brahman is Samadhanam. It is not pampering the mind.)
